Shih Tzu Temperament
The Shih Tzu has great temperaments, a perfect family dog and as well as being watchdog. He is full of character, affectionate, intelligent and courageous. Shih Tzus will find it easy to learn that his owner is the pack leader, making them an easy-to-train breed. Owners who allow their dogs to take over will find them snappish, constantly barking and even biting if they do not get their own way! However this behaviour is not “Shih Tzu character” it is all brought on by the people around them and how they are trained.
Shih Tzu Puppies
According to experts, a poorly bred Shih Tzus snore and wheeze heavily. However, this should not be confused as this type of breathing is also natural when they are teething. The other things to look out for, when choosing a Shih Tzu puppy are his nostrils and ensure they are round and open. Not fully opened nostrils are likely to cause long term respiratory problems. Make sure you get your Shih Tzu puppy from a reputable kc registered breeder.
